So in this wiki entry I'm going to go over some useful tips in Stage 1.
Stage 1 is a very simple and basic kill everything in the arena stage.
The waves start off nice and easy, 1 nak, 2 naks, all the way to 5 naks.
All the waves (except the "danger" wave - discussed later) have a max of 5 creatures.
When the naks reach 5 naks, the wave is repeated a few times.
After the naks it moves to panzers - 1 panzer + 4 naks, 2 panzers + 3 naks, all the way to 5 panzers.
Just like the naks, the panzer waves also repeat after reaching 5 panzers.
Lastly, it moves to crossbows - 1 xb + 4 panzers, 2 xbs + 3 panzers, 3 xbs + 2 panzers ...
As mentioned earlier, there is a bit of a "danger" wave when it reaches 4 xbs. Instead of spawning 4 xbs + 1 panzer, the next wave of 5 xb also spawns. So you have a total of 10 creatures to kill/watch out for - 1 panzer + 9 xb.
The stage will end when: you die, reach 120 kills or the timer runs out.
An S rank is more than achievable with a lvl 1 character of any class.
Class tips ::::
- Archers: stick with ranging and avoid chaosing if possible - the archer's chaos arrows send everything flying, if you can't deal enough dmg to kill in 1 attack, its just going to take longer to finish the stage. If you prefer to melee, then I suggest using the invincible attack against the naks (try to get as many of them surrounding you as possible). Then use the special attack on the panzers and xbs - just be careful of the other summons - juggling will be of good use.
- Blacksmiths: even the lvl 1 bs has enough brute force to kill efficiently using the jump attack or special - juggling will be of good use. Chaosing is not necessary to complete this stage but it may speed things up!
- Mages: Personally, I would recommend you stick with using the ice attack. However, you may want to consider taking advantage of the area dmg the mage's bombs are capable of. If you do decide to chaos, I suggest sticking with the range attack over the ice attack. The range attack does not have as much delay as the ice attack and thus you will have more opportunity to evade if a creature comes up to attack you.
- Ninjas: Most of the ninja's attacks are very weak and will not be of any advantage in this stage. When fighting the naks, I would suggest using the secondary range attack. Against the panzers and xbs, your special is probably your best bet - juggling will be of good use. Chaosing against the naks is probably not the best of ideas, they can take a while to get back up when knocked down, you're just going to take longer to finish the stage. If you choose to chaos against the panzers, make sure you reattack them after you finish the previous attack to continue the juggling.
- Swordsmen: Much like the bs, jump attack and special will be your main attacks in this stage.
